2019 Cultural Crossroads Festival
The 28th Annual Cultural Crossroads Festival at Crossroads Shopping Center in Bellevue will be taking place March 8 - 10.
The annual festival is the single most popular event in the Crossroads annual calendar of events and features some of the area's best ethnic entertainment on two stages, an international bazaar, and exhibits.
Admission is free. Festival hours:
- Friday, March 8: 5pm - 9pm
- Saturday, March 9: 10am - 9pm
- Sunday, March 10: 11am - 6pm
The multi-cultural celebration will feature a world of entertainment with over thirty cultural music and dance performances. Performances include:
- Dave and the Dalmatians - A capella Songs from Croatia, Italy, Corsica & Beyond
- Geetanjali Tamil Band - Youth Band Performs Tamil Songs
- Joyas Mestizas - Mexican Folkloric Dance
- Juliana & PAVA - Ancient Russian Folk Songs
- Kouyate Arts Performance Company - West African Drumming, Dance & Song
- Leela Kathak - North Indian Classical Kathak Dance
- Melelani Hula Studio - Traditional and Modern Hawaiian Hula Dancing
- Peter Ali & Swil Kanim - Native American Musicians and Storytellers
- Urvasi Dance Company - Odissi Classical Dance and more!
Friday night enjoy the music of Seine City Sextet beginning at 5:30pm, performing music of Paris from the 1940's & 50's and from 7:00-8:45pm dance to the music of Bonaca.
Saturday, 5:30-6:30, join us for Family Friendly Cultural Crossroads where everyone can enjoy and learn International dances with Carroll-Henderson School of Irish Dancing followed by Kouyate Arts Performance Company performing West African Drumming, Dance and Song.
Visit the Cultural Crossroads Marketplace where cultural sales booths feature imported and hand-crafted gifts from around the world. And don't miss the Red Carpet Photo Area where you can take your photo on the RED carpet at Cultural Crossroads!
Exciting, thought provoking and creative activities for children this year including an international and interactive LEGO® display - a showcase with models representing many cultures and nationalities all made of LEGO®, provided by Dan Parker, LEGO® Certified Professional Artist (Sat & Sun 12-4pm), plus "Folk Art for Kids" a coloring activity for children returnsthis year. And for the kid in all of us, "Dolls of the World", a display of figures in ethnic dress from around the world! Find a doll that looks like you within the collection of over 130 plus cultural dolls!
