Bellevue Beat | New Ravine Experience Shows Bellevue's Wild Side

Bellevue.com

Take a walk on the wild side at the Bellevue Botanical Garden's new "Ravine Experience" featuring a 150-foot long, 5-foot wide pedestrian suspension bridge and a one-third mile long nature trail.

The suspension bridge, made predominantly of steel, spans a wooded ravine in two locations approximately 200ft apart and gives visitors close proximity and intimate views of the plants, wildlife, and forest canopy in and around the ravine. The new 600-foot long nature trail segment forms a connection between the bridges and existing trail segments to complete a "Ravine Trail Loop" which will begin and end at the Lost Meadow Trail.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 12:30pm on Sunday, May 13, rain or shine. That's Mother's Day Sunday! So if you're looking to take your Mother's Day celebration to new heights this year, the new Ravine Experience is it!
