Bellevue's Becoming A Great Talent Market for Tech Companies

Bellevue.com

Location, location, location! That's the main reason e-commerce giant eBay is moving its current Washington office from Redmond to Bellevue.

eBay has signed a long-term lease for 53,000 square feet--three full floors--in 21-story One Bellevue Center in downtown Bellevue, reports The Seattle Times. The new Bellevue space nearly doubles eBay's existing space in Redmond. eBay's new Bellevue office will have room for more than 350 staffers. The company reported that it should be moving out of its offices in Redmond by late spring.

What's appealing to eBay and other tech companies as they compete to recruit top local talent is Bellevue's abundance of shopping, arts, culture and entertainment, transit connections and proximity to Seattle and other Eastside suburbs.

Here are some photos of One Bellevue Center, which as you can see stares directly at Expedia headquarters at the northwest corner of 108th Avenue NE and NE Fourth Street.
