The Bellevue Collection Offers Customers More Ways to Charge It

The Bellevue Collection becomes the first shopping center in the region to install charging stations for electric vehicles at an unveling ceremony Tuesday, March 15. Fifteen Chargepoint charging stations for electric cars were unveiled at the "Plug In Ceremony", held in the Northweast parking garage at Bellevue Square. Additionally several electric vehicles including the Nissan LEAF and Tesla Roadsters were on display and used to demonstrate how the charge stations work.

"Bellevue Square has been a trend-setting shopping destination for generations in our community," said Freeman Kemper of the Kemper Development Company. "It's only fitting that we would be the location of the first ChargePoint stations for shopping centers in the region to offer this to our customers. You can be charging while shopping or dining. What could be easier for our customers?"

The 15 locations at The Bellevue Collection featuring the networked electric vehicle charging stations are in the following locations:

  • 5 ports in the West Garage on the 2nd level near sky bridge #2
  • 4 ports in the Northeast Garage, 1st floor near Nordstrom
  • 4 ports in the Lincoln Square Garage on the 1st level (P1)
  • 2 ports in the Bellevue Place Garage on the 1st level (P1)

The Bellevue Square charging stations are opened 24 hours and charge $2 per hour to plug in. This makes it convenient for customers to charge electric cars while they shop, dine and play at Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place.

The new installation at The Bellevue Collection is part of Coulomb Technologies' $37 million ChargePoint America program. Businesses interested in free ChargePoint stations can visit the website to apply.
