Bellevue Beat | The Essential Baking Company Opening First Cafe in Bellevue

Bellevue.com

You won't believe who's opening a new cafe in downtown Bellevue. Thanks to a tip we got during our visit to the Saturday Bellevue Farmers Market (thanks Lori), we found out that The Essential Baking Company is opening its first cafe in downtown Bellevue.

Not believing our tip, we drove there to see it for ourself. Voila! There it is, the "Coming Soon!" sign on the glass window. We checked TEBC's website and immediately went to the Cafés page and there it is in bold text: New location opening in Bellevue Summer 2012!

The Bellevue location will mark TEBC's first cafe in Bellevue and the fourth cafe for the company. Its other three cafes are in Wallingford, Madison and Georgetown. When the Bellevue Café opens this summer you can expect it to serve breakfast and lunch, fair-trade coffee and teas, natural juices and sodas, and, of course, fresh-baked breads, pastries, crackers and desserts.

The Bellevue Café will be located at the downtown Bellevue University Book Store on 102nd Ave NE and NE 10th St, just south of Zeeks Pizza and across from the Bellevue Village QFC.
