Construction continues on the Lincoln Square expansion, and it will require lane closures on Bellevue Way this month.
Over the next couple of weekends, the northbound lanes will be closed between NE 4th and 6th streets. One southbound lane will be closed between NE 4th and 8th streets to remove construction equipment from the Lincoln Square site the first weekend and to erect a second crane to build the north tower the second weekend.
The closures will start at 7pm Friday night and continue to 9pm Sunday. The work will not need to take place around the clock; however, it will continue late into the evening and start each morning between 8 and 9am until Sunday night. Northbound drivers will be detoured to adjacent streets during the closures and electronic message boards will provide directional assistance.
Another weekend closure is expected January 30 through February 1. More information will be available soon.
