Bellevue's dumpling house phenom Din Tai Fung is opening its second outpost in Seattle at Pacific Place this summer. The new downtown Seattle restaurant will be on the fourth floor of Pacific Place in the massive 9,200-square-foot space previously occupied by PNK Restaurant and Ultra Lounge and Todai before that.
The Bellevue dumpling house at Lincoln Square--opened in 2010--was the first ever in Washington. Din Tai Fung opened its first Seattle outpost at University Village three years later in 2013. The Pacific Place restaurant will be the third location in the state and there's already plan to open a fourth and largest (9,436-square-foot) location at Westfield Southcenter mall in December.
