Bellevue Beat | Palomino patio takeover mystery solved

Bellevue.com

Palomino Rustico in downtown Bellevue has been closed and its outdoor patio space remained vacant since July 2019. Yesterday, more than a year later, we spotted al fresco paraphernalia marked by red patio umbrellas in the coveted outdoor dining space located on NE 6th Street at Bellevue Way. The mystery is further heightened when we did not spot any sign/notice on the entrances of the shuttered restaurant space.

We took to social media to crowd source for a scoop on the mysterious appearance of the outdoor patio ware. Comments quickly came in including:

  • "I seen a guy setting it up, he had a T-shirt on with the words 520 and Central in gold letters." (@akcub01)
  • "Central Bar + Restaurant is extending their outdoor dining. Cheers!" (@reneemaclachlan)

Sounds like Central Bar + Restaurant is extending its outdoor patio presence to the coveted spot on the corner of NE 6th Street and Bellevue Way NE, a stone's throw from its own charming outdoor patio nuzzled between the Westin and W hotels on 6th Street.

So did we solve the Palomino patio takeover case?
