Company behind Bellevue's Burbs Burgers has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The burger chain was founded by local chef Josh Henderson, who started local restaurants including Skillet, Westward, Quality Athletics, Kiki Ramen, Great State Burger and St. Helen's Cafe. Henderson sold Skillet in 2013 and Westward, Great State Burger and St. Helen's Cafe in 2018.
Burbs Burgers opened at Bellevue's Lincoln South Food Hall over the summer and has other locations in Bellevue's westside neighborhoods including Pioneer Square, Ballard, Montlake and Georgetown.

PSBJ first reported the news. Despite the bankruptcy filing, Henderson said he plans to continue Burbs Burger's expansion in the area.
