That’s a wrap! The fourth annual AHG Has Your Back event, in partnership with Ascend Hospitality Group (AHG), Amazon, and Amazon Fresh, was a resounding success on Saturday, August 17! Local students from four different nonprofits enjoyed an afternoon of fun at the “AHG Has Your Back End of Summer Block Party” held at the Amazon Fresh store parking lot in Factoria Bellevue.
Each student received a fully stocked, custom backpack and had the chance to “dream big” by personalizing their packs with keychains, patches, and professional airbrush art. They also played games like pop-a-shot, giant Jenga, and carnival games, danced to beats by DJ Tazz Enrico of The Residency, enjoyed snacks from Amazon Fresh, and savored a complimentary lunch from Famous Dave’s BBQ.

“For the fourth year in a row, it has been our honor at AHG to partner with Amazon and Amazon Fresh to provide this amazing backpack experience to children in our community who need it most,” said Elaina Morris, AHG CEO and president.
“This year’s AHG Has Your Back Block Party aimed to ‘dream big’ and throw kids the party of the year, with free lunch from Famous Dave’s BBQ, lots of games, and the opportunity to personalize their backpacks to showcase who they are. AHG is also the proud sponsor of the annual Bellevue NYE Night Market event, bringing the community together to celebrate the New Year with local vendors, live entertainment, and festive activities. Hosted on New Year’s Eve, the second annual Bellevue New Year’s Eve Night Market rang in 2024 with a vibrant makers market of over 30 craft, food, and beverage vendors, and more than 6,000 attendees over the six hour event.
