Pinnacle International is shaking things up in downtown Bellevue with a massive new mixed-use residential development called Pinnacle Bellevue South. This project is set to rise where Bartell Drugs and QFC grocery currently stand, just north of Bellevue Square mall.
Picture this: eight towers, each soaring between 14 to 26 stories, housing a whopping 2,114 residential units. Plus, there's about 22,250 square feet of retail space and three levels of underground parking with around 2,225 stalls. Approximately 102 units (5%) of the total residential units will be affordable housing for residents earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.
Residents of Pinnacle South will enjoy exclusive amenities in Building 5, featuring 13,122 square feet of space for fitness, recreation, and lounging. On the ground floor, there’s 88,267 square feet of commercial space, perfect for restaurants and service-based retail.
Say goodbye to the old QFC and Bartell Drugs, as they’ll be making way for this new development. If all goes according to plan, construction could kick off around 2027, with residents moving in by 2030.
The project site spans approximately 6 acres and 265,000 square feet, forming part of a super block bordered by NE 10th Street on the north, 102nd Avenue NE on the east, NE 8th Street on the south, and 100th Avenue NE on the west.
Pinnacle Bellevue South is the second phase of the even larger Pinnacle Bellevue development, which also includes Pinnacle Bellevue North. Pinnacle North will be developed first, featuring 1,154 residential units in seven towers, ranging from 8 to 25 stories. It will also boast 131,000 square feet of retail space, including a grocery store and pharmacy, and 1,624 underground parking stalls. This site is located at 10112 NE 10th St, currently home to Le Chateau Apartments and an office building that serves as QFC headquarters.
This marks Pinnacle International's first project in the Bellevue area. The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company shelled out $145 million for the two sites back in 2018. Pinnacle International prides itself as one of North America's leading builders of luxury condominium residences, master-planned communities, hotels, and commercial developments.
