3rd Annual Neighbor Link Picnic at Crossroads Community Park. Soak up some sunshine, grab your picnic blanket and come on down to Crossroads Community Park for a true old fashioned picnic in the park, Saturday, July 23, from noon to 2pm.

In keeping with the nostalgic theme, the first 600 guests can buy a delicious hotdog lunch that includes an all-beef hotdog, Tim's Cascade chips and a drink for only a dollar! The generosity of picnic sponsors, Crossroads Shopping Center and Stone Gardens, the Climbing Gym has made it possible for all lunch proceeds to be donated to the Eastside Human Services Fund. The fund helps agencies provide needed health and social services for Bellevue residents. Your donations make a real difference in people's lives in your own community.

In addition to the built-in playground and water park enjoyed all year round, a host of games, sports and activities will be available for both young and old throughout the afternoon. All activities are free and family friendly, and prizes will be provided by Chipotle and the Seattle Mariners.

The Po'okela Street Band, a high energy pop and reggae group will play a fusion of Top 40, R&B, pop, rock, rap and country to keep you listening and dancing throughout the afternoon.

A key component of the Neighbor Link program is participation in community service. Everyone is asked to contribute to the "Help the Babies" diaper drive to benefit Eastside Baby Corner. In the north parking lot at the picnic, a drive- through drop- off will be available for diaper and cash donations. Individuals and neighborhoods that donate at least 500 diapers will receive a special recognition certificate. A volunteer fair will round out the day, offering information on a myriad of volunteer opportunities throughout the Eastside.

Neighbor Link is a project of Neighborhood Outreach at the City of Bellevue, a program that encourages community building and community service. The Neighbor Link picnic is open to the public and Bellevue residents of all ages are encouraged to join in the fun. Crossroads Community Park is located at 16000 NE 10th St. Parking is available at the park, with overflow parking at the east end of the Crossroads Shopping Center.

For more information on the picnic, contact Julie Ellenhorn or call 425-452-6836.
