CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2017 with a retrospective of artists from the festival's history - plus one new to Seattle. Both CHOP SHOP festival performances offer the unique opportunity to sample work by artists drawn from diverse backgrounds and representing unique perspectives on contemporary dance today.

Drawn from diverse backgrounds and possessing strong individual voices, each CHOP SHOP company or artist is united through the contemporary language of dance and its power to stir the senses through the visceral moving image.

This is an event not to be missed! Last year's sold out performances established Chop Shop as one of the most highly anticipated dance events in the greater Bellevue/Seattle area.

2017 Performing Artists:

  • New Zealand School of Dance / Christina Chan (Wellington) - Seattle debut!
  • MOVETHECOMPANY / Joshua Beamish (Vancouver, BC) - Seattle premiere!
  • The Stone Dance Collective / Eva Stone (Eastside)
