Cultivating Compassionate Balance (CCB) is a unique blend of Taoist and Buddhist philosophies, contemporary psychology, and scientific research. You’ll learn how to: engage your inner critic with compassion by embracing acceptance for self and others; enhance vitality by recognizing and harmonizing with your body’s energy flow; reduce rumination by settling and focusing your mind; and learn techniques for communicating authentically and from the heart. Classes include meditation, lecture, discussion, in-class partner and small group listening and communication exercises, as well as audio recordings of guided meditations. Amy Colvin has 20 years of Taoist meditation experience, is a certified facilitator of Stanford's Compassion Cultivation Training program, and has been facilitating meditation since 2011.
