Last night I attended one of the most talked about fashion events of Bellevue Fashion Week, The Nordstrom Fall Fashion Show to benefit the Detlef Schrempf Foundation and the evening's charity partner -- The Bellevue Youth Theatre Foundation. I'd been told that the best-dressed audience could always be found at the Nordstrom Show, and the crowd didn't disappoint...neither did the event itself.

Once inside the showroom, the runway show featured fall 2012 collection pieces from Milly, Vince, Kelly Werstler, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rachel Zoe, Billy Reid, Elizabeth & James, Haute Hippie, Theyskens' Theory, Tory Burch, Rag & Bone and Diane Von Furstenberg.
There were so many amazing pieces and looks across the board, but there were definitely some themes and trends worth taking note.
On the runway:
Blue, Teal and Burgundy Jewel Tones: These dramatic hues are definitely on trend this season – and they provide a great pop of rich color.
Bold & Beautiful Collars: Whether it's covered in fur or a delicate peter-pan style…collars with flare are IN.
Tough Boots: These edgy boots were seen paired with feminine dresses, skinny jeans, and chic skirts.
Oversized Sweaters: Chunky knits, throw-on sweaters and sweater jackets lined the runway. A perfect PNW staple.
Leather: Leather was everywhere. In the form of jeggings, gloves (long and short), boots, jackets, and more.
The Sheath Dress & Structured Pencil Skirt: Flattering and timeless, these silhouettes kept popping up on the runway. The simplicity blends well with all of the other statement pieces & trends.
Textured Layers & Opulent Fabrics: Fringe, cable knit, suede, sequins, tweed, herringbone, and lace…it's all about the layering and the details.
As for the hair & makeup: The look was accessible with deep lips, contoured cheekbones, headbands with a poof and a low (slightly messy) bun.
Overall it was a night full of Fall Fashion Must Haves and fun. Check out the pictures and visit Nordstrom.com -- so many ways to get inspired for looking fabulous this fall.
