City of Bellevue just received a notice of Application for Design Review approval to construct a new 21-story residential tower in downtown Bellevue. KBS Realty Advisors is proposing to build this apartment tower--to be called Plaza Center Residences--at the existing parking garage adjacent to Plaza Center located at 10900 NE 8th Street.

KBS bought both the US Bank Plaza at 10800 NE 8th Street, the neighboring Plaza Center and parking garage between the two buildings in 2014 for over $186 million. US Bank Plaza is 136,200 square feet and Plaza Center is 337,200 square feet.

The proposed mixed-use Plaza Center Residences will take up some 261,000 square feet and have some 260 apartments with approximately 3,500-sf of ground-floor retail. The existing parking garage will be incorporated into the new project.
