According to industry sources, REI is looking at new headquarters locations and that Spring District in Bellevue and Renton's the Southport project are the top contenders. So is the Commons on 90 office space considered a 'test and learn' strategy to prepare for REI moving its headquarters to Bellevue?
Commons on 90--located at 15900 SE Eastgate Way--is a 2-building office complex with a combined 142,000 square feet of Class A space. The complex is owned by Clarion Partners, which said in a press release it recently completed renovations designed to attract technology companies. REI leased one of the two buildings at Commons on 90.

"Our new satellite office at Commons On 90 is a creative and collaborative space that helps reinforce our goals of remaining an employer of choice, and will be a strong factor in attracting new talent for our growing IT team," said Vic Blanco, REI's director of Real Estate Asset Management.
Building amenities include new infrastructure, collaborative workspaces, conference and training spaces, new lobby complete with a fireplace and break out rooms, new courtyard with fire pits and break out seating, Nnew fitness center with locker rooms and a wired outdoor spaces. Parking is available for cars and bikes.
