T&T Supermarkets, Canada's beloved Asian grocery store, is celebrating its 30th anniversary by expanding its reach into the United States. The company has officially announced its plans to open its first American store in Bellevue, WA. Situated in the Marketplace at Factoria in the former space of Walmart, the Bellevue supermarket will occupy an impressive 76,000 square feet, making it the largest Asian supermarket in Washington state and serving as a flagship location for T&T.

Tina Lee, the CEO of T&T Supermarkets, expressed her excitement about the venture, recognizing that the adoration for T&T extends beyond borders. She noted the presence of U.S. license plates in their British Columbia store parking lots, with numerous customers regularly making the journey for their diverse selection of Asian food. After three decades of success in Canada, T&T is thrilled to bring its unique offerings closer to home for customers in the United States.

“We’re just going to bring everything we’ve got,” she said. The company chose the Bellevue area for its first US store because of the region's vibrant foodie culture. The new T&T Supermarket in Bellevue will be a haven for Asian cuisine enthusiasts, boasting an array of mouthwatering delights. Visitors can indulge in the sushi counter, hot food bar, noodle station, and in-store kitchen and bakery, where freshly prepared delicacies like steam buns and pork belly bao will be available alongside a tantalizing assortment of Asian pastries and cakes. Additionally, the store will house over 300 of T&T's private label products, including beloved items like green onion pancake, Korean kalbi marinade, juicy pork dumplings, and seaweed snacks.

The Marketplace at Factoria is equally thrilled about T&T's presence, as it marks an exciting new chapter for the property. With plans for new residential, retail, and dining experiences, the addition of T&T as an anchor tenant enhances the overall shopping experience. Carmen Decker, President of Kimco Realty's Western Region, emphasizes the search for top-tier retailers to elevate their centers and warmly welcomes the iconic Canadian brand to their retail collection.

Bellevue Mayor Lynne Robinson shares in the excitement, recognizing the positive impact that T&T Supermarkets will have on the local community. The store's arrival not only enriches the city's diverse food scene but also contributes to its vibrant culture. Slated to open in Summer 2024, the T&T Bellevue store will create over 300 jobs for the local community and is planning to hold its first job fair this Summer for supervisors and above positions.
