Bellevue Beat | Award-Winning Wing Chain Opening First Bellevue-Area Restaurant
Just in time for the upcoming football season, Wingstop has announced its first restaurant in the greater Bellevue-area will open this fall.
Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Richardson, Texas, Wingstop has more than 500 restaurants open across the United States and Mexico. With a sole focus on chicken wings, the Wingstop menu features 10 wing flavors including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, Hickory Smoked BBQ and Louisiana Rub. Wings are made fresh, cooked-to-order and customers can also choose from homemade side dishes including Wingstop's award winning fresh-cut seasoned fries, baked beans, coleslaw and potato salad.
The Wingstop Bellevue location is the first of 15 Wingstop restaurants that owner-operator Andrea Southern of Sammamish WA plans to open in the greater Bellevue area. The only other two Washington-area Wingstop restaurants are in Pasco and Richland.
"Sports and wings go hand-in-hand, and we're excited to announce that our first location will open this fall, just as football season is kicking off," said Southern. "Bellevue is a great spot to introduce wing and sports fans to our signature, made-to-order wings." An experienced Wingstop restaurant owner, Southern was instrumental in the development of Wingstop in the Los Angeles area, which today has more than 60 locations.
The Wingstop Bellevue restaurant will be located at 14875 Main Street. No, that's not Old Bellevue but rather the Kelsey Creek Center at the intersection of 148th Ave and Main Street, where the new Kelsey Creek Walmart store is located.
